Got Grins Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontic Specialists grew from the practice that was formerly Middleton & Arthur Orthodontics, expanding to bring pediatric dentistry and orthodontics together under one roof. We want families in Montgomery County to have comprehensive care for every stage of their child’s smile, from their first tooth through orthodontic treatment as teens and adults in one practice location.
With over 25 years of experience creating beautiful, lasting smiles, Dr. Arthur is different from other orthodontists in Montgomery County because he is both an Orthodontist and a Pediatric Dentist. This advanced, specialized training sets him apart from most orthodontists across the country — he’s part of a select group of dentists in the country who have completed two separate residencies in both fields, which requires four additional years of education and training beyond dental school. This dual specialization allows him to pay careful attention to details others may overlook, ensuring comprehensive, thoughtful care.
As a Pediatric Dentist, he carefully monitors each child’s growth, development, age, maturity, and emotional readiness — all of which shape the best treatment strategy.
As a highly skilled Orthodontist, using special techniques, Dr. Arthur can often reduce the need for two-phase treatment in children through personalized plans tailored to each child’s needs — making treatment less traumatic, more comfortable, and faster, with fewer visits overall.
For adults, Dr. Arthur is known for delivering the fastest, most comfortable results using the latest technology, without compromising effectiveness.
Having treated 8,000+ patients, Dr. Arthur’s experience is second to none. After earning top honors from some of the nation’s most prestigious universities and hospitals, he had practiced in orthodontics in Arizona since 2021 before moving to Montgomery in 2023, joining and eventually taking over Middleton Orthodontics. He continues to serve the local community with the same care today.
Dr. Arthur earned his undergraduate degree in Philosophy from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts, followed by his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from UCLA. He then completed a two-year residency in Pediatric Dentistry at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, affiliated with Columbia University, before pursuing an additional two-year specialty residency in Orthodontics at the University of Detroit Mercy. His extensive training reflects a strong commitment to providing comprehensive, specialized dental care for children and patients of all ages.
Outside the office, Dr. Arthur enjoys tennis, pickleball, and spending time with his wife, two children, and their many pets — including Tilly, their English Bulldog.
Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Joanne Martinez specializes in dental care for children, young adults, and individuals with special needs. She truly believes that every child deserves personalized care and attentiveness at each visit, because she understands the importance of positive dental experiences. As a mother herself, she truly cares for every child as if they were her own.
Dr. Martinez education started at University of California, Irvine, where she graduated with a bachelor of science in biology. Then she went to UCLA School of Dentistry. Upon graduating with honors, she was accepted at the University of Southern California Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry for her residency in pediatric dentistry.
Dr. Martinez has been practicing for 25 years. During her residency, she was involved with Rancho Los Amigos hospital to gain extensive knowledge of special needs children and hospital dentistry.
She has been happily married to her husband Zach for 25 years. Her husband Zach has 32 years of Law Enforcement experience. She has two children Zachary who commissioned in the Navy as a Naval Flight Officer upon graduation from Texas A& M (Gig’em Aggies). Her other son is a Senior at Oklahoma State University majoring in Marketing/Business (Go Pokes). She is a HUGE ice hockey fan and both her boys have played at Texas A&M and Oklahoma State. In her spare time, she loves to travel, volunteer at her church, Texas A&M football games and spend time with her family.
A fun fact: Dr. Martinez was Mrs. South County for the Mrs. California America Pageant in 2013. During her pageant years, she won Mrs. Congeniality and Mrs. California America Outstanding Woman of the year.
